Thank you, non-existent commentator! There is a reason for this: their dominant hands are on opposite sides, so they walk, sit, everything with their dominant hands on the outside (i.e. he takes the left because he's left handed) so that the other person isn't in the way/they're not bumping arms if they need to reach for their weapons. That'll be changed up in the next piece, though.
